With the inauguration of the Gayatri Devi Park for special children Near Navrang Theatre, Rajajinagar 2nd Block, Bangalore got its second park designed for mentally and physically challenged children. The park was inaugurated by Rajajinagar MLA and urban development minister S.Suresh Kumar on the 26th of August.

This park was the second of its kind in Bangalore, the first on being housed at Coles Park in Fraser town. The Gayatridevi Park has equipment worth 25 lakhs especially designed for the special kids. The park has a separate section for the special kids, complete with toys suiting their needs.

The inauguration of such parks in Bangalore show that the Government seems to be looking at delicate social concerns seriously.
