For sure the most important is the school itself, how is the curriculum, the facilities, the staff, philosophy and what other kids are there. The kids should have fun and should be prepared for the later life too. Here the individuals liking give a important input. Beside that the reputation based on the long term judgement of the school is an important factor. Of course new school have to start once and especially in Bangalore many new schools have to come up but unfortunately there were also black sheep's and with that example the community becomes more careful. last point is for sure the distance for the kid. After a hectic day it is not advisable to have a 1 hour ride. Fortunately lots of the families have understood and decided to live closer to the school instead of the office. Traffic is noise and pollution and cuts of the precious time within the family. What I want to stress that the decision which school to go is influenced beside the quality of the school also from the distance to it. That is what I try to make my clients in their relocation or moving projects clear to find them a real new home.
